Families in Gaza are facing their 4th winter living amid the devastation of a genocide. With the UN experts warning Gaza is the world worst economic crisis, keeping warm will be beyond their means unless we help.
Close to 2 million people have been displaced from homes, some multiple times, and are being forced to shelter in tents so worn and flimsy that provide very little protection or even in the bombed-out ruins of buildings which are danger of collapse. This is what people in Gaza have to call their “home”.
So, this winter we launch a special appeal to all our supporters, near and far: help us raise funds for our Winter Warmth Appeal
This gives you a sense of how much things currently cost in Gaza:
• Plastic sheets for tents (each tent needs 2 or 3 sheets – at £50-£60 per sheet)
• Blankets (£15 each)
• Warm outfits for children (£25 per child)
• Baby milk (£10 per bag)
• Nappies £15 for 40
PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN.
A one-off donation or – if at all possible – a Standing Order really helps. Be assured, the donations all go to Gaza, and are given as a Gift from us to the people we support, with love, respect and solidarity.
Our support is made possible through the long standing connections and solidarity with our amazing Never Stop Dreaming volunteers. Our solidarity sustains their hope and resilience alongside our practical help of funds to purchase the basic necessities of life itself.
